Well, it’s been a super busy week and by the time tomorrow evening comes around, I will have officiated services for four very significant moments in life – a baby naming, a wedding, a renewal of vows and several funeral services.
Monday started with the renewal of vows for Mark and Trish, a lovely couple who were celebrating 30 years of marriage on that very day.
In a very intimate ceremony held at Dunston Hall in Norwich, comprising their closest family only, Mark and Trish renewed the promises they made to each other three decades ago.
A sand ceremony was included, with the three different coloured sands representing the various members of the family, including parents, children and grandchildren.
And then Mark reduced his wife to tears – in a good way! At the end of making his promises to Trish, he disappeared briefly from the room to collect his baritone and he then proceeded to serenade her with ‘Love Changes Everything’ – the song that was played on their wedding day!
It was soooooooo romantic! A few photos below of their very special day!
Such a gorgeous and joyful way to start the working week, followed by the privilege of officiating at several funeral services, which brings us to the weekend!
Today takes me to the stunning Voewood in Kelling, to conduct a wedding ceremony and tomorrow I’ll be off to the seaside again, but this time round the coast to Thornham, to welcome not one but two babies into their circle of family and friends, in my first ever naming ceremony for twins!
What a week! What a lovely job I have!
