Just over two years ago, I conducted a funeral service for a gentleman which took place at the beautiful Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park. Next week, I shall be conducting the service of his wife, who died a couple of weeks ago.
Their only child is a wonderful young lady, with whom I’ve stayed in touch since her father’s service in 2016.
When I visited her last week to plan the service for her Mum, we were discussing a poem or reading for the graveside part of the occasion.
She produced possibly the most beautiful book I’ve ever seen, entitled ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris.
I thought I’d share with you the illustration and verse within the book for ‘Bluebell’.
The alliteration is stunning and I stayed looking at these two pages for absolutely ages.
I’ve since ordered the book…
